From January to September 2012, I worked on site with the City of Bristol College communications team to support them in launching their new website. I learnt how to use SharePoint 2010 (in the end, I wrote a 100-page, 22,000 word training manual on it!).
The fact that I was able to come in and get straight on with the job was great news for them, and I really enjoyed being part of a team, contributing to a project. I got involved in all areas of the site, including content, process mapping, testing, training. I plugged the skill gap for them in areas such as building a taxonomy and creating e-forms, and ultimately helped get them over the line on a massive website project.
